SSHRC PEG Awarded 2018: Two in-depth case studies will evaluate use of Lego Mindstorm robots and teaching materials developed specifically for these as math aids, by students with hand-based disabilities, their teachers, and Assistive Technology team. Quantitative data collected will include 1) performance on a student specific variable, 2) descriptive information of our resource website (e.g., downloads, questions to customer support) and 3) surveys administered to the team and student. Results will enable improved resources, knowledge mobilization activities, so that more children with disabilities can benefit from improved access to hands-on activities in the classroom.
