• Segment Routing is a technology that is gaining traction to make the Multi-Protocol Label Switching network easier to manage. It has the benefit of being able to connect to a software-defined network. SDN is a well-established paradigm in the industry that makes network management simpler. Also, to boost network performance, SDN and SR are utilized. Segment Routing is a source routing paradigm that addresses the MPLS network's shortcomings in simplicity and scalability. As the number of customers grows, scalability difficulties occur, limiting a network's performance. In the SDN era, segment routing was used to tackle these challenges and evolve a system.
