Does overload exercise training alter autonomic nervous system activity and hemodynamic regulation in aerobically fit men?
DownloadFall 2014
In general, chronic endurance training has positive effects on physiological function. However, the performance of training in excess of what an individual is able to recover from can lead to performance, physiological and psychobiological maladaptation. The purposes of this investigation were to...

Does stimulus pulse width influence contraction fatigability during neuromuscular electrical stimulation?
DownloadFall 2019
Neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES) is used to generate contractions of muscles for rehabilitation after injury or disease to restore functional movements or reduce secondary complications of disuse. However, due to the unnaturally high discharge rates and random recruitment order of...

Does success matter? Nest failure does not affect copying in zebra finches (Taeniopygia guttata), contrary to the copy-when-dissatisfied strategy
DownloadFall 2021
Social learning theorists have developed social learning strategies to predict when an individual is most likely to copy the behaviour of another individual, based on the benefits and costs social learning might convey. Much of the research investigating social learning strategies has come from...

The environmental performance of an economic unit is often conditioned on both time (in terms of its history of pollution) and space (in terms of the performance and capital investments for abatement by its neighbors). However, despite large literatures addressing each of these linkages...
