Citation Analysis: A Tool for Collection Development and Enhanced Liaison Services

• This talk addresses the use of citation analysis as a tool for understanding the complex landscape of research publishing in the humanities and social sciences. The results of a current citation study at the University of Alberta Libraries will demonstrate the impact of a solid understanding of researcher publications and their sources of information to help academic librarians promote research and adapt library collection development.
