SSHRC Awarded IG 2017: This research examines and refines key assumptions of the recreation specialization framework, tests the refined assumptions, and examines the roles of structural location and environmental worldviews in explaining recreation preferences. This research will:
- Test and refine the assumed trajectory of progression in recreation specialization.
- Identify and prioritize the salient setting attributes that influence outdoor recreation participation.
- Identify management alternatives that are most responsive to rock climbers', big game hunters', and bird watchers' preferences.
