The collection contains a very large number of theses electronically available that were granted from 1947 to 2009, 90% of theses granted from 2009-2014, and 100% of theses granted from April 2014 to the present (as long as the theses are not under temporary embargo by agreement with the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies). Influence of Foundation Rigidity on the Out-Of-Plane Flexural Response of Slender Masonry Walls
DownloadFall 2023
Masonry walls with effective height-to-thickness (kh/t) ratios over 30 are commonly found in single-storey buildings such as school gymnasiums, warehouses, and industrial facilities. Stringent design requirements apply for walls with kh/t > 30 in North American Standards (CSA S304-14, TMS...

Fall 2012
Relative permeability curves represent an important element of special core analyses, but challenges remain in obtaining valid results and the extrapolation and use of existing permeability results is problematic. This situation is compounded in cases where core properties are altered from...

Spring 2015
A good understanding of the behavior of broken rock helps us to make more informed decisions regarding geo-structures. The geometry of particles and confining pressure play a significant role on the behavior of broken rock. Angularity, form and texture are three parameters that represent the...

Initial adhesion of EPS producing bacteria Burkholderia cepacia – the impact of cranberry juice
DownloadFall 2010
The impact of cranberry juice was investigated with respect to the initial adhesion of three isogenic Burkholderia cepacia bacteria with different extracellular polymeric substance (EPS) producing capacities: a wild-type cepacian EPS producer PC184, mutant bacteria PC184rml with reduced EPS...
