Technical report TR96-13. Metaview is a metasystem that can generate automatically environments to support software engineering activities, such as requirement analysis and design. This report focuses on creating Object-Oriented (O-O) support environments in Metaview to help efficiently construct reliable and maintainable software systems. Metaview's capability to define O-O CASE environments is described and critiqued. One innovative approach supported in Metaview is the use of aggregation, as a mechanism for linking method fragments. This approach is illustrated in the specification of our environment to support Object Modeling Technique (OMT), one of the most popular O-O development methods. OMT has been prototyped in Metaview and the results of this activity are analyzed. | TRID-ID TR96-13
