To meet the demands of ever increasing wireless traffic, relay networks has been identified as a promising solution. However, they are prone to co-channel interference which arises due to the aggressive reuse of the available spectrum. Therefore, this project investigates the effect of interference on the outage probability of a two-hop channel state information assisted amplify-and-forward relay network. Three networks configurations are considered: (i) relay is subject to interference while the destination is perturbed by additive white Gaussian noise, (ii) relay is under additive white Gaussian noise while destination is subject to interference, (iii) both relay and destination are subject to interference.
