This commemorative medallion is attached to a large rock outside the entrance to the British Antarctic Survey headquarters at High Cross, Madingly Road, Cambridge, UK. The inscription reads: \" Headquarters, British Antarctic Survey was opened by HRH The Duke of Edinburgh, KG, KT, OM, 16th June, 1989\".
