Utilization of AFLP for genetic distance analysis in pigs

AFLP® was utilized successfully as a tool to generate a large number (more than 100) of DNA markers in a total of 2435 individuals from the EC Pig Biodiversity project. This information was used for an initial genetic distance analysis with
the results tending to group the lines and breeds as expected based on the descriptive information. -
