CFI-JELF awarded 2020: The proposed infrastructure request will support work in the use of projected media in live performance. This specific request is to transform the theatre from a primarily text-based aural experience to one that is based in visual language. Our proposal includes five discrete projects which will experiment with image mapping and media control: interaction between live actor and projected image; projected images interacting with live audio and lighting; the use of projected images to replace conventional scenery; the replacement of lighting with projectors; and an exploration of the use of projection in a rehearsal context.
