Tailings Large Strain Consolidation

Implemented in GoldSim, TMSim_Consol uses an explicit finite difference method to calculate the void ratio at each time step. Excess pore pressure and effective stress in each layer are then derived from void ratio. In addition to the specific gravity (Gs) and geometric properties of the deposit, users need to populate the e-Sigma and e-Ksat tables (void ratio - Effective stress and void ratio - saturated hydraulic conductivity respectively). This way, any forms of e-Sigma and e-Ksat relationships can be input into the model. GoldSim Player Version 14 is required to view the model file. Note that the unit for Ksat is in m/day.
