Resilient Systems, Resilient Communities emerges from the University of Alberta interdisciplinary research network, Intersections of Sustainability, which focuses on the relationship between water governance, climate change, and community futures. The aim of the research network is to bring a whole-system approach to developing critical, solutions-driven research in partnership with government agencies, academic partners, civic organizations, policy makers, industry actors and non-government organizations.
This collection of essays by members of the network extends these aims by providing a compendium of work that engages resilience thinking, a concept that continues to play a central role in academic and policy-making circles. -
