This document is a table summary of a variety of types of case studies covering the intent, descriptions, purpose, cognitive processes expected, and degree of active learning to be expected. Types of case studies addressed include: illustrative, exploratory, evaluative, decision-focus, critical incident, and research. The cognitive processes expected to be under development are mapped onto Bloom's Revised Taxonomy.
