IEEE 802.11 based wireless LANs (WLAN) has accelerated the replacement of conventional wireline Ethernet LANs. The deployment of wireless technologies will play a significant role in next generation communication networks due to its simplicity and provision of a comprehensive communication environment. A multi-service network supports different services like voice, video and FTP which places different requirements on the network. Running real-time voice and video in the network requires Quality of Service (QoS) in terms of delay and throughput. (As cited in abstract.)
