This paper presents the result of a detailed survey on the fifth-generation (5G) cellular network architecture, massive multiple-input multiple-output technologies, D2D communication, network slicing, and cloud technologies on 5G radio access networks and software-defined networks. Also included in the paper are some of the vulnerabilities like impersonation, DDOS, malware, man-in-the-middle, and many more, causing security and privacy issues. (As cited in abstract.)
