Being Strategic: Strategic Communications Workbook

  • This workbook has been designed for use in a workshop offered at the University of Alberta Library Digital Scholarship Centre. The booklet presents questions and considerations that professional communicators consider when developing communication campaigns. The final result of this exercise would be the drafting of a report or policy document, that all members of the communications team could consult when implementing their campaign.

    For the purposes of this workshop, the questions have been situated within a research context and are intended to provide a framework for communicating research findings. This workshop and workbook are intended to help researchers think comprehensively about how they are communicating their findings and to consider how they can use non-traditional communication techniques to grow bigger audiences for their work.
