SSHRC Awarded CG 2021 - The COVID-19 pandemic, in introducing new forms of isolation and exacerbating health and economic disparities, has disproportionately deepened inequities and exclusions in some communities more than others, in the process raising new questions about what kind of society Canada ought to be. By bringing in the voices of those that are most impacted by the pandemic, along with civil society leaders, policy-makers, and academics, this outreach project aims to give representation to those that are most marginalized, and shed new light on the Charter by investigating its impacts and possibilities for particular groups and principles. An integrated series of educational and artistic materials, policy documents, and academic publications is envisioned.
