Educating the skilled trades has at times been at the forefront of training in Alberta. These training programs have, however, continued to offer their skills to students with little change or growth in the delivery over the last 50 years. This is a brief look at the history of trades instruction, considerations for implementing blended learning, a look at the upcoming generation of learners who will be entering these classes in the very near future, and the
implications of providing instruction and training to digital learners whose influence from technology may vary significantly from that of those instructing them. -
