The Department of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences is one of the largest departments of mathematics and statistics in Canada and one of the leading Canadian research departments in Mathematics and Statistics.
With almost 60 regular faculty members, we are able to pursue many exciting directions of research representing the full spectrum of pure and applied mathematics and statistics. Mathematics and statistics play a fundamental role in our modern world, providing us with the language and tools for analyzing and solving problems in a wide variety of fields.
