Population regulation of northern pike (Esox lucius L.) in an unexploited lake in Northern Saskatchewan

A northern pike (Esox lucius L.) population in an isolated lake in northern Saskatchewan was investigated to determine possible mechanisms of population regulation. Four mechanisms were explored: food limitations, interspecific predation, spacing behaviour and cannibalism.
