Canadian Heritage Rivers System Background Study: North Saskatchewan River
-
- Author(s) / Creator(s)
-
The purpose of the Background Study is to determine whether the North Saskatchewan River meets the established CHRS selection criteria and integrity criteria to be nominated as a Canadian Heritage River. Because the North Saskatchewan River was identified as an “A List” river, with the second highest evaluation score in the “Canadian Heritage Rivers System Study of Alberta Rivers”, completed in February 1996 by Alberta Environmental Protection, a background study is the next logical step in the Canadian Heritage River process. (As cited in executive summary.)
