LEDs Shed New Light on Color

A typical retail clothing store, especially one catering to a younger, fashion-forward customer, is likely a showcase for the latest clothing trends and hot seasonal colors. But increasingly, retail stores in China and Europe are also becoming showcases for another type of retail trend that has the potential to significantly change how consumers experience and
perceive the color of the clothes they buy. That trend is called LED lighting. Much cheaper in terms of power consumption than the fluorescent and incandescent lights traditionally used to illuminate stores, LED lighting technology is starting to replace other lighting sources in retail settings around the world.
LED light that offers a full color spectrum also has the potential to provide dramatic, vibrant, eye catching color
communication in a retail setting, as well as a rich sense of fabric texture. -
