This collection of Androsace varieties is planted between vertical slabs of rock at the Arctic and Alpine Botanic Garden (latitude 69.6769° N) in Tromsø, Norway. Androsasce are a genus of the Primulaceae family, found in Arctic/Alpine regions including the Alps, Causcaus, Himalayas, and Pyrenees. Varieties visible in this image include: Androsace alpina, Androsace incana, Androsace sericea, Androsace villosa and Androsace yargongensis.
