Steep ramps in front of a store in St. Petersburg, Russia

The prominently displayed wheelchair sign indicates that these steel ramps are designed for wheelchair access. Too steep for a wheelchair users to navigate on their own, these ramps are probably most used to move goods on hand-carts up the two steps from the sidewalk to the store front. These ramps were clearly added after the building was built.
