One of several varieties of irises in the public flower garden in Rovaniemi Finland . The plant name plate contains the warning: "koko kasvi on myrkyllinen" or "the whole plant is poisonous". Rovaniemi is close to the Arctic Circle. This planting demonstrates that irises, which are perennials, can survive at this latitude.
