Finnish National Dress held at the Sointula Museum, British Columbia

• This National Dress was donated to the Sointula Museum by Sylvia Johnson. The dress was made for her mother. Traditional Finnish attire for women often incorporates a long sleeved white blouse, with a sleeveless short tunic a skirt (often showing vertical stripes of bright colours) and an apron. A red ribbon head band (lower right of the photograph) is often worn.
