Finnish National Dress held at the Sointula Museum, British Columbia

This National Dress was donated to the Sointula Museum by Sylvia Johnson. The dress was made for her mother. Traditional Finnish attire for women often incorporates a long sleeved white blouse, with a sleeveless short tunic a skirt (often showing vertical stripes of bright colours) and an apron. A red ribbon head band (lower right of the photograph) is often worn.
