Michel Tremblay's Albertine en cinq temps: A Tale of Two Translations
-
- Author / Creator
- Kennedy, Andrea
-
This thesis compares two translations done of the play written by dramaturge
Michel Tremblay entitled, Albertine en cinq temps.
Using A. Berman’s critique of translation and elements of linguistic analysis, the
key characterizing elements of Tremblay’s plays are identified and then used as a
base for analyzing the two existing translations of this work.
To conclude my thesis, I have put forth my own translation of this play. -
