These nursery rhymes have been translated into Uummarmiutun and adapted to the biology of the Inuvialuit Settlement Region in Canada's northwestern Arctic.

This book contains Uummarmiutun versions of three common nursery rhymes (Mary Had a Little Lamb, Itsy-Bitsy Spider, and Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star). The rhymes have been translated and adapted. For example, because an Inuit child is more likely to have a dog than a lamb, the rhyme has been adapted to read "Mary una qimmilik" or "Mary had a dog". In Uummarmiutun, the number of syllables match the tune of Mary Had a Little Lamb.
