This book contains Uummarmiutun versions of three common nursery rhymes (Mary Had a Little Lamb, Itsy-Bitsy Spider, and Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star). The rhymes have been translated and adapted. For example, because an Inuit child is more likely to have a dog than a lamb, the rhyme has been adapted to read "Mary una qimmilik" or "Mary had a dog". In Uummarmiutun, the number of syllables match the tune of Mary Had a Little Lamb.
