Fine china objects (plates, cups and saucers, bells, mugs, thimbles) are all popular items in the souvenir trade. Some souvenir stores have china objects decorated with themes local to their region. This cup and saucer were made and decorated in England, but decorated for the Yukon tourist trade. The image on both the cup and saucer show a dog team of three dogs pulling a sled with a person behind it. The word "Yukon" appears below the image. On the bottom of the cup and the back of the saucer is the following inscription: Duchess Fine Bone China England. Made exclusively for Murdoch's Gem Shop Ltd. Whitehorse Yukon". Murdoch's Gem Shop is still operating in 2021.
