CONCRETE MASONRY COMPRESSIVE STRENGTH USING THE UNIT STRENGTH METHOD FOR GROUTED MASONRY
-
The objective of the analysis summarized in this report is to re-establish the correlation between unit strength and prism strength using more recent test results. These correlations were examined using a large database of available test results of prism testing conducted in North America. The analysis presented in this report is intended to be complementary to a report based on hollow masonry construction, also prepared in the University of Alberta (Gayed, 2011), and parallels a similar research project performed by the National Concrete Masonry Association in the United States (NCMA, 2012).
