A Visibility and Safety Assessment of Urban Intersection Sight Distance using mobile LiDAR Data
DownloadFall 2021
This thesis focuses on intersection sight distance design, which is an extremely critical element in urban road design. Research has shown that providing adequate sight distance contributes to safe operation at intersections. Conversely, a restricted sight distance impacts drivers’ fields of...

Fall 2021
Molecular abundance ratios have been proposed to trace the chemical and evolutionary state of star forming molecular clouds because the formation and destruction of such molecules is dependent on the local environmental conditions, like the density and radiation field that both evolve with time....

Accelerating Polymer Degradation to Explore Potential Long Term Geotechnical Behaviour of Oil Sands Fine Tailings
DownloadFall 2021
Many tailings’ technologies used in the Athabasca oil sands require the use of chemical amendments such as synthetic flocculants to densify tailings by releasing water. It is anticipated that the synthetic flocculants will eventually degrade with time leaving only a mineral soil structure behind....
