Effect of viscoelasticity and alkali on heavy oil EOR performance using HPAM, 'AA-NVP' co- and cross-linked polymers
DownloadSpring 2014
Polymer solutions are characterized based on their viscoelasticity to improve the displacement efficiency for enhanced oil recovery. Contribution of viscoelastic polymers solution’s elasticity on oil recovery needs to be analyzed thoroughly for better screening of polymers for field operations....

Effect of Volume Translation on Two-Phase Equilibrium Calculations for Hydrocarbon Mixtures in a Confined Space
DownloadSpring 2020
Oil production from tight/shale reservoirs has drawn an increasing attention over the past decades. One of the essential mechanisms affecting the oil/gas production is the phase behavior of the reservoir fluids in the confined nanopores inside the tight/shale reservoirs. Many theoretical works...

Fall 2018
Unconventional oil reserves are taking an increasing importance globally due to the decrease of conventional sources of hydrocarbons. Oil sands industry plays an important role in the production of unconventional bitumen, through proven technologies such as surface mining and in situ extraction...

Effect of weather during development on cranial morphometrics of American marten (Martes americana)
DownloadSpring 2024
Globally, climate change is affecting species in a myriad of ways. Rapid morphological change has been proposed to be a consequence of climate change, but evidence is minimal. Furthermore, any such rapid morphological change is expected to be a phenotypic response rather than evolutionary....

Effect of Z-shaped Steel Plate Connectors on Out-of-Plane Flexural Behaviour of Precast Insulated Concrete Panels
DownloadFall 2016
Precast Insulated Concrete Panels (PICP) consist of an insulation layer sandwiched between two concrete layers. The concrete layers of PICP are attached to each other by interlayer mechanical connectors. These panels are widely used in North America as cladding system to provide thermal...
