The Circumpolar Digital Image Collection is a collection of photos, slides, other images and contributions shared by many of the University of Alberta’s polar researchers. This sculpture, created in 2009 by Yellowknife artist Francois Thibault depicts three drum dancers. It is located at the edge of Frame Lake in front of Yellowknife's City Hall.

Black flies and mosquitoes can be quite unpleasant in some seasons in Yellowknife. Screening balconies, as in this example, keeps the bugs out and makes the space usable for more of the season.
