Cloudberries grow around the Circumpolar North. In Finland they are picked in large numbers and used in cookery in a variety of ways.

There were many clusters of Clusius' gentian blooming in early June at the Tromsø Arctic-Alpine Botanical Garden (latitude 69.6769° N). They grow close to the ground and have vibrant purple-blue trumpet shaped flowers.

Columbines in the Church of the Pond (Kirkkolammenpuisto) Park public garden in Rovaniemi, Finland

Several kinds of columbines were on display in this garden. The identification plate for these plants has an added note that reads "koko kasvi on myrkyllinen" or "the whole plant is poisonous".

This columnar oak walk leads from an entrance at the bottom of the hill up to the tea house and glass houses in the centre of the Botanic Garden in Oslo. There were a few dried oak leaves on the trees.

The common cattail grows along the edges of lakes. It has been used as a traditional food, both the green flower spike (shown in this image), the core, the root and the seeds are all edible.

The Ndilo First Nation Community is located on Latham Island on the edge of Yellowknife. The community has recently built a greenhouse to complement the community garden. The sign on the fence reads \"Welcome to YKDFN Community Garden\".
