The folders and assocaited files in this archive are as follows: FALC_Endof2022.kml: Google Earth file showing where the new long-period data stations are located. FinalDataforModel_AfterEditing.zip: This contains a combination of the new long-period and NRCAN LITHOPROBE MT datasets used to create the final model. This folder contains the EDIs for each site AFTER editing, as they were used to produce the final inversion model. Original NRCAN data can be downloaded at: https://search.open.canada.ca/opendata/ FinalModel.zip: These are the final inversion model files produced by ModEM for the resistivity model used in Chase and Unsworth (2024). IMPORTANT: The LITHOPROBE data used in the inversion is mostly broadband MT with a period band of 0.001 - 1,000 seconds (1000 - 0.001 Hz). All periods >1 Hz were REMOVED from the LITHOPROBE data to speed up the inversion and reduce computational costs since our study was only interested in the structure of the deeper lithosphere. Users are advised to use unedited LITHOPROBE edis (see above link) if they are interested in refining/investigating shallower structure. Additionally, a number of LITHOPROBE sites in the area were removed during data curation as they either spatially overlapped with the new data or each other. Users interested in targeting shallower features may find these excluded data useful. NewLongPeriodEDIs_raw.zip: This contains EDIs for the new long-period MT data in their unedited form as it was produced from processing the time series data. Some sites have been remote referenced or have had sections of the time series removed pre-processing in order to improve quality (e.g., where obvious noise was present). Those are the only data editing step undertaken for EDIs in this folder. Note that sites ultimately removed from the final inversion due to noise/modelling/etc issues are included here. Times Series Data: The University of Alberta archive service has file size limits that make it difficult to organize the large time series files in a way that makes any sense for possible users. If you would like these files please reach out to the emails below and we can arrange a file transfer from our physical arhives. Data was produced by the NAROD NIMS instrument. Questions?
